Community Guidelines

1. What AnnoyanceHub is for

AnnoyanceHub is a place to vent about the small (and not-so-small) annoyances of daily life, and to let other people react with "Same Here" or a reply when something resonates. It works because people feel safe posting honestly and safe reading what other people post. These guidelines exist to protect that.

2. Venting without attacking people

Venting about a situation, an institution, a company, or frustrating behavior in general is exactly what this app is for — "my landlord never fixes anything" is a vent. Targeting a specific, identifiable private individual for harassment, ridicule, or abuse is not — the line is between venting about what happened and attacking a person.

3. What's not allowed

The list below applies to posts, comments, and usernames, display names, avatars, and bios alike.

Harassment and bullying

Repeated, targeted, or degrading conduct directed at a specific person, including pile-on harassment coordinated with other accounts.

Threats and violence

Credible threats of harm against a real person, and content that encourages or glorifies violence against people or groups.

Hate speech

Attacks on people based on a protected characteristic — including race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or veteran status.

Doxxing and private information

Posting someone else's private information (home address, phone number, workplace, financial details, government ID information, or similar) without their consent, or threatening to.

Impersonation

Creating an account or content that impersonates another real person, business, or organization in a misleading way.

Sexual exploitation and non-consensual content

Sexual exploitation of any kind is prohibited. Sexual content involving minors is never allowed under any circumstance and will be removed and reported to the appropriate authorities. Sharing intimate images of someone without their consent is prohibited.

Graphic violence and self-harm content

Gratuitously graphic violent content, and content that promotes or provides instructions for self-harm or suicide, are prohibited. Content discussing personal struggles in a non-graphic, non-instructional way is not automatically prohibited by this rule, but may still be removed depending on context.

Scams, spam, and malware

Deceptive schemes intended to take someone's money or information, repetitive or unsolicited promotional content, and links to malicious software or phishing pages are all prohibited.

Illegal activity and copyright infringement

Content facilitating illegal goods or services is prohibited. Posting content you don't have the rights to use may also violate copyright law — see the Copyright Policy.

Targeted abuse campaigns and ban evasion

Organizing or participating in a coordinated campaign against a specific person or account is prohibited, as is creating a new account to evade a prior enforcement action.

Misuse of the reporting system

Filing reports in bad faith — to harass someone, silence legitimate criticism, or flood the moderation queue — is itself a violation of these guidelines.

4. How enforcement works

When content is reported and reviewed, one of the following may happen, depending on context, severity, the account's history, and the level of risk involved:

• No action — the content doesn't violate these guidelines.
• Removal of a single reported comment, leaving the rest of the post and its other comments in place.
• Removal of an entire reported post, which also removes its comments and votes.
• Suspension of the account responsible, which immediately signs it out everywhere and prevents signing back in until the suspension is lifted.

If you believe content or an account was moderated in error, you may request reconsideration by emailing [email protected]. Review is discretionary, and we can't guarantee a particular outcome or timeline.

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services directly — AnnoyanceHub is not an emergency service.

5. Reporting

You can report a post or comment directly from its menu. Reports go to a moderation queue that only administrators can see. Reporting content doesn't remove it automatically — a person reviews it.

6. Changes to these guidelines

We may update these guidelines as AnnoyanceHub grows. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "Last updated" date, and may also be communicated through the service or other appropriate channels.
